Design, spaces and hoops

Staci L. Smith wrote in her blog "Love my art jewelry", a great post about design, hoops and negative space.

A piece of art made by Staci L. Smith

I love art that uses large spaces, I find it fascinating. Lately I started to use little spaces in my work too.

eBook - Bead Flowers and Wedding Bouquets - giveaway

This  post is about a journey of French beading and a givaway.

I was asked by Vivienne Wells to review the eBook  "Bead Flowers and Wedding Bouquets" by Katie Dean.

I am honored and glad to give a review because I love this aesthetic and challenging eBook.

This book's aim, as written in the introduction of the book, is to give an understanding of how to use French beading techniques, make flowers and construct a bouquet.
"Bead Flowers and Wedding Bouquets" has everything a beginner as well as an advanced beader needs.
It has step by step explanations about French Beading, detailed and easy to follow written instructions and videos.
I watched the videos that show Katie Dean demonstrating and explaining the techniques. I was amazed how easy it was to follow her instructions. It was almost as having her, as my private talented teacher, in my own
room!!

The eBook has a lot of information not only about French Beading techniques but also about bouquet's styles. It even has explanation about the meaning of the flowers that are commonly used in wedding bouquets (this was a real surprise!!)

Most important - it advances gradually.
The beginner (as myself) can learn the techniques of french beading and advance gradually, step by step, from making the individual flower to the whole bouquet.
The experienced beader can also find lots of information that will teach and inspire him.

In summary: A wonderful book and I recommend it wormly.

This is Katie's website.
